The 12th edition of the River Film Festival in Italy has held a dedicated section on Iranian cinema.
The section titled 'Iran – Country In Focus' screened 'Ara' by Yousef Kargar, 'Retouch' by Kaveh Mazaheri, 'Neither You Nor Me' by Sepideh Mirhosseini, 'Dive' by Hossein Darabi, 'Autumn Leaves' by Mehdi Fard-Qaderi, and 'Peshdar Dog' by Alireza Mohammadian.
'Run Rostam Run' by Hossein Molayemi went on screen in animation section and 'Happiness' by Kouros Samanian will be screened in Documentary section tomorrow.
The Extreme Short section of the event will also screen 'The Last Embrace' by Saman Hosseinpour, 'Duel', 'Mother', and 'Reporter' by Seyyed-Mohammad-Reza Kheradmandan, as well as 'Simple As That' and 'Wirelephant' by Saman Ghanayemi.
The 2018 River Film Festival is the 12th edition of the Italian event. Over the years the festival has matured and become an event with a strong cultural connotation, an event the public looks forward to.
The River Film festival has continued to grow and flourish, while the current edition includes many films that have already been entered in prestigious international festivals, such as Cannes, Berlin, San Sebastian, Toronto and Venice.
Its jury is made up of experts, directors, screenwriters and producers from Portugal, the UK and Italy.
The 12th edition of the River has been slated for June 15-30, 2018, in the Italian city of Padua.
